What is the World Wide Web?
The World Wide Web or the 'web' is a selection of websites or web pages stored in web servers and connected to local computers through the internet.
A web page is a file written in computer code by a programmer.
Web pages are formatted in HTML, a computer programming language. HTML contains all the information a computer displays online.
A web page is given an online address called a Uniform Resource Locator, more commonly known as an URL.
A collection of web pages that belongs to a specific URL is called a website. For example: www.google.com
Think of the World Wide Web like a mega online book whose pages are stored on many servers around the world.
